Marais DigitARt
Braw Haus recently orchestrated an innovative collaboration with internationally renowned digital artist Ines Alpha for Marais DigitARt
"Marais DigitARt" is a unique event in the historical and cultural district of Paris. Showcasing digital art in carefully selected galleries and spaces, offering a wide variety of works from interactive installations to photography, video and projections. Visitors were able to discover augmented reality virtual works on the neighborhood’s historic streets through an interactive app. Many events and discussions were planned throughout 10 days in September 2023.
The choice of Braw Haus to work with Inès Alpha for Marais DigitARt stems from their joint mission to push digital art to new heights. It was back in 2017 that Braw Haus discovered the work of Ines Alpha, since that day, a friendship has been formed between Braw Haus and Ines Alpha.
Inès Alpha, a self-taught Parisian artist, distinguished herself by exploring the fusion of makeup and technology to create 3D makeup, thereby pushing the boundaries of beauty. Her artistic practice challenges conventional beauty norms in the internet age, and self-empowerment.
The exclusive work named "Ethereαl✨Dαte" is the fruit of this collaboration. Inès Alpha fused two of her iconic 3D makeup creations, "Oyster Moisture" and "Blue", to create a surreal augmented reality experience. These ethereal compositions, inspired by nature and fantastical worlds, transport viewers on a visual journey. "Oyster Moisture" evokes the purity of underwater pearls, while "Blue" captures the fluidity of the dancing flames. This piece defies conventions by allowing viewers to discover these colossal, floating masterpieces directly onto their smartphones, challenging their perception of beauty, art, and aesthetics. This unique collaboration embodies Braw Haus and Inès Alpha's shared vision for the future of digital art and creativity.
The work was visible between Rue Villehardouin and Rue Saint-Gilles near the offices of Braw Haus in Paris, France.
